Hi Team. Primary key and reference key constraints for deltalake are in public preview on databricks. Are there any plans to bring this feature to OSS Deltalake ?

If I am not mistaken this is more a feature of Unity Catalog than of Delta Lake so I dont think this will come to OSS soon also in Databricks, this is just metadata and is not yet used for any optimization etc.

Yeah.. it seems so. Foreign Key constraints can only be used with unity catalog.

I’m not sure I think you normally get a little green check mark at the top of the page if it is unity catalogue specific

Delta Lake currently only has a concept of a single, independent table - so defining external dependencies like PK/FK constraints currently cannot work
