Why is the delta-kernel repo private?

the canonical java delta kernel is in active dev here, you can actually try it out https://github.com/delta-io/delta/tree/master/kernel ... the rust version is basically non existent atm, the committers & maintainers of delta-rs are still evaluating various design decisions around interfaces and such
